This large handmade ceramic dinner plate is part of my folk-inspired tableware collection, designed to bring quiet beauty to everyday meals.
Made from rich terracotta clay and finished with a soft white slip, the plate features hand-carved leafy sgraffito detailing around the rim. Deep green botanical motifs form a circular wreath, framing your food in a way that feels both rustic and refined. The subtle brush marks beneath the glaze allow the handmade process to remain visible — a reminder that this piece was shaped slowly, by hand.
The dark clay edge creates a beautiful contrast against the creamy surface, giving the plate a grounded, earthy character that works effortlessly in Scandinavian, rustic, and contemporary interiors.
This large dinner plate is designed to pair perfectly with the smaller Fabode plates in my shop. As shown in the photos, the smaller plate can sit beautifully in the centre, creating a layered table setting ideal for serving mains with bread, sides, or desserts.

Handmade Process
Each plate is shaped and refined by hand. White slip is applied before the leafy design is carved using the traditional sgraffito technique. The piece is fired, glazed, and fired again to create a durable, functional finish.
Small variations in brush marks, tone, and carving are part of the charm and individuality of handmade ceramics.
This is a one-of-a-kind large ceramic dinner plate. No two will ever be identical.
