Fabode comes from the Hungarian word “Fabódé”, meaning wooden shed.

The name reflects the humble beginnings of Fabode, which started in a small garden shed where Marta and her husband first began creating together. They imagined the shed as a magical place, quietly pouring beautiful handmade creations out through its doors — and so Fabode was born.

Today, Fabode is a creative studio showcasing Marta’s handmade ceramics alongside her husband’s handcrafted work and her mother’s beautiful wool-felted creations.

Marta’s ceramic work is inspired by folklore, nature, and the simple joys of everyday life. Working in a whimsical, intuitive style, she creates pieces that celebrate feeling over perfection and joy over precision.
