Folk Art Sunflower Ceramic Plate

A handmade terracotta ceramic plate, hand-scratched with a folk-art sunflower design and kiln-fired in our workshop in Scotland.

The making: The plate is individually shaped by hand from terracotta clay and finished with white slip under a transparent glaze — giving the interior a smooth ivory surface that highlights the scratched botanical design. A cheerful sunflower bloom sits at the centre: a vibrant lime-green dotted core, surrounded by radiating lines tipped with teal-green dots, completed by three pairs of deep forest-green leaves along a hand-drawn stem. The graphite rim frames the piece cleanly. The maker’s stamp on the base authenticates it as a genuine artisan piece.
