This handmade ceramic muffin box is a playful and carefully crafted piece, designed to bring a small moment of delight into your everyday. Shaped like a cupcake, it lifts to reveal a hidden space inside — perfect for keeping your tiniest treasures safe.
The base is hand-built using a slab technique from white clay, with a gently textured surface that mimics the soft ridges of a muffin paper case. It is finished with a warm brown underglaze and fired, then glazed with a transparent glaze and fired again at high temperature, giving it a rich, slightly glossy finish with depth and character.
The lid is formed using a coiling technique, creating a soft, swirled “frosting” effect. A pair of small cherries sit on top, adding a sweet, whimsical detail that makes the piece feel like it has come straight out of a story.
