Inspired by Scandinavian folk art and botanical motifs, this butterfly is crafted from rustic terracotta clay and finished with a soft white slip on the front. The wings are painted in layered tones of mint green, deep forest green, navy blue and vibrant chartreuse yellow, all outlined in fine black lines that give it a delicate, storybook character.
The cheerful yellow body adds a warm focal point, while the soft blue ribbon allows it to hang beautifully in a window, on a branch, from a wall hook, or styled as part of seasonal décor.
The back reveals the natural, earthy terracotta clay and is stamped with the Fabode mark — simple, honest and handmade.
Each butterfly is made individually, and no two will ever be exactly the same. Small variations, brush textures and subtle irregularities are part of its handmade charm.

How It’s Made
Each butterfly is shaped by hand from terracotta clay. Once dry, a layer of white slip is applied to the front and the design is etched and painted by hand in coloured underglaze. The ornament is then kiln fired to ensure durability while maintaining its natural warmth and texture.
Because every piece is handmade, you are receiving a truly one-of-a-kind ceramic ornament.
