Grey Wood Christmas Tree Display

A grey-painted wooden Christmas tree silhouette, hand cut from reclaimed pine and fitted with 20 small brass hooks for hanging ornaments, made by our maker Zoltan in his workshop in Scotland.

The making. The tree is hand cut from preloved pine pallet wood by our maker Zoltan, then hand-painted in a soft Scandinavian grey. Twenty small golden-coloured hooks are fixed along the branches, so you can hang as many or as few of your own ornaments as you like. Because it’s built from reclaimed wood and finished by hand, each tree carries small knots, grain marks, and the gentle imperfections of the wood it came from.

How it looks and feels. At 50 cm high and 90 cm wide it sits as a wide, low tree silhouette rather than a vertical one — designed for a kitchen worktop, a bay window, or a shop window rather than a corner. The grey paint is matt and warm rather than cold, and the wood’s grain shows through where the paint thinned over knots. The brass hooks are barely visible until ornaments hang from them.
