Inspired by Scandinavian folk art and botanical motifs, this butterfly is crafted from rustic terracotta clay and finished with a soft white slip. The wings are decorated by hand using layered tones of mint, deep green, navy blue and chartreuse yellow, outlined in fine black lines that give it a delicate, storybook character.
A soft translucent ribbon allows it to hang beautifully in a window, on a branch, on a wall hook, or even as part of seasonal décor. The back reveals the warm, natural terracotta clay and is stamped with the Fabode mark — simple, earthy and honest.
Each butterfly is made individually, and no two will ever be exactly the same. Small variations, brush textures and subtle irregularities are part of its handmade charm.

How it’s made
Each butterfly is shaped by hand from terracotta clay. Once dry, a layer of white slip is applied to the front and the design is carefully drawn and painted by hand. The ornament is then kiln fired to ensure strength while maintaining its natural texture and warmth.
Because every piece is handmade, you are receiving a one-of-a-kind ceramic ornament.

Care
