A handmade wool felted garland — a long green vine threaded with felted leaves and flowers — made by Fabode’s wool felter in Scotland.
The making: The vine is needle-felted from green wool over a soft, flexible core so the whole length can be wrapped, draped or coiled without losing its shape. The leaves are pre-felted and stitched onto the vine, and each flower head is needle-felted individually before being attached. Held together with cotton thread.
How it looks: The vine runs about 165 cm in soft sage green. Along its length sit two red blooms, a pink blossom, a pale blue flower, and a cluster of small sunflower-style yellow heads — small bursts of summer colour against the green foliage.
Use it for:
- Draped along a mantelpiece with candles or photographs
- Wrapped around a stair banister for spring or summer
- Hung above a bedhead as a soft alternative to a wall print
- Used as table garland for a wedding breakfast or birthday dinner
- Gifted to someone who keeps cut flowers all year and would love an always-in-bloom version
A considered gift for a mother, a friend setting up a new home, or for a wedding where you want a soft, fabric-based floral element — Mother’s Day, housewarmings, or simply because.
Care: Spot clean only. Keep away from steamy or wet environments. Reshape gently by hand.
Size:
- Length: approximately 165 cm
- Flower heads: approximately 6 cm
- Handmade — small variations are part of the character
