A set of six handmade ceramic heart magnets in soft pastel colours — baby blue, pastel yellow, pastel green, pastel pink, white, and forget-me-not blue — made by hand in our Scottish studio.
The making: Each heart is hand-cut from terracotta clay, painted with underglaze, then bisque-fired to lock in the colour. A clear transparent glaze is brushed over the top and the pieces are kiln-fired a second time for a glossy, hard-wearing finish. A thin neodymium magnet is glued to the back of each one.
How it looks: Six little hearts — one in each colour — sitting on a warm terracotta clay body that peeks through the underglaze at the edges. The glossy clear glaze catches the light; shapes vary slightly because each heart is cut by hand.
Use it for:
- Holding postcards and notes on a kitchen fridge
- Clipping artwork to a magnetic notice board in a child’s room
- A small Valentine’s or first-anniversary gift
- Pinning recipe cards above the hob
- Splitting the set as small stocking fillers or party favours
