A handmade ceramic fridge magnet set — four small acorns, two brown-cap mushrooms and two ivory-and-grey oak leaves — built from white clay in our workshop in Scotland.
The making: Each piece is hand-built from white clay, cut and smoothed individually, then kiln-fired at 950°C. The acorns are painted with a light brown cap and a darker brown body with subtle bronze shine; the mushrooms have brown caps; the oak leaves are finished in ivory and grey. All pieces are sealed with a transparent glaze. Strong ceramic magnets on the back hold each piece onto a fridge or any magnetic surface.
How it looks: A woodland-floor palette — soft browns, ivory and grey, with the gentle bronze sheen on the acorn bodies catching light. The composition reads as a small autumn still-life when grouped together; individually each piece is strong enough to stand alone.
Use it for:
- On the fridge from September through to Christmas
- Grouped on an A5 magnetic board as a small autumn scene
- On a hallway noticeboard with seasonal photos
- Gifted to a forager, gardener, or autumn-leaf enthusiast
- In a children’s room as a small nature collection
A small handmade gift for someone who collects woodland pieces — birthdays, housewarmings, or as an autumn refresh.
Pair with an A5 magnetic board (sold separately) to display the pieces as wall art rather than on the fridge — they read as a composition either way.
Sizes:
- Acorns: approximately 3 cm
- Oak leaf: 8.5 cm
- Mushrooms: 5 cm
