A wall-hung mirror built from a single panel of an old salvaged door, painted in Farrow & Ball Mizzle — a quiet misty blue-grey that takes a room down a register.
The making: Repurposed in Scotland from an authentic vintage door panel. The panel is sanded, painted in F&B Mizzle, fitted with a mirror inset and backed with decorative wallpaper. Each piece is one-of-a-kind because the source door dictates the grain, the panel mouldings, and the proportions that came before us.
How it looks: A soft misty blue-grey — the F&B Mizzle that reads like a Scottish morning before the sun fully comes up. The original panel mouldings stay legible under the paint, a clean rectangular mirror sits in the centre, and the wallpaper backing peeks at the edges. Calm against a white wall, layered against terracotta or warm wood.
