A nature-inspired set of seven ceramic magnets — leaves and small flowers in cobalt, sky-blue and white — hand-shaped in our Scottish studio.
The making: Each piece is hand-cut from white clay, painted with underglaze in two coats, then bisque-fired. A transparent glaze is brushed on and the magnets are kiln-fired a second time to seal the colour. A small neodymium magnet is glued to the back of each piece.
How it looks: Seven small pieces in mixed shapes: two leaves in sage and forest green, three little blue flowers in deep cobalt, soft sky and forget-me-not, one larger cobalt flower and one chalky white flower. The glossy clear glaze catches the light over a chalk-white clay body.
Use it for:
- Building a small magnetic mosaic on a kitchen fridge
- Pinning postcards or recipe cards to a studio notice board
- A spring or springtime housewarming gift
- Splitting the set as small party favours or stocking fillers
- Adding a hand-glazed detail to a metal filing cabinet
A considered gift for someone who likes small handmade nature details — birthdays, housewarmings, or simply because.
Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking.
Size:
- Leaves: approximately 5 cm and 7 cm
- Large blue flower: approximately 5 cm
- Small flowers: approximately 2–3 cm
- Handmade — small variations are part of the character
