A set of five ceramic fridge magnets — a green-and-yellow butterfly, a small green leaf and three little white flowers — hand-built in our Scottish studio. Available with an optional A5 magnetic board.
The making: Each shape is rolled out from white clay, cut and smoothed by hand, then bisque-fired at 950°C. The butterfly is hand-painted with green and yellow underglaze; the leaf in soft moss-green; the flowers in white with tiny yellow centres. A clear glaze brings the colours to life through the second firing. A small magnet is glued to the back of each piece. The optional board is a metal A5 panel finished in white lacquer.
How it looks: A 7 cm butterfly with soft green and yellow underglaze on the wings, a 6 cm leaf in mossy green, and three tiny flowers between 1.5 and 3 cm. Glossy clear-glaze finish over hand-painted detail. Arranged together they read as a small garden composition rather than five separate fridge magnets.
