A handmade Easter and spring wreath on a natural grapevine base, dressed with wool felted flowers and small coloured balls, made by hand by Fabode’s mother in Scotland.
The making. The wreath starts as a natural grapevine ring, twisted by hand and left rustic at the joins. It is then wrapped in dark green and bright yellow wool to soften the bare vine, with a length of lime-green sheer organza ribbon finishing the binding. Wool felted pink flowers are stitched into the wreath, alongside small yellow, orange, and purple felted balls that catch the eye as the wreath turns on a door or wall.
How it looks and feels. The wreath measures approximately 20 cm across — a small, decorative wreath rather than a full-door piece. The pink of the flowers sits warm against the bright yellow and dark green wool, and the organza ribbon adds a slight translucency at the edges. The grapevine reads as rough, rustic, and uneven where it shows through the wool wrapping.
Use it for:

- Hung above a fireplace or in a hallway during March and April
- Tied to a kitchen window or open shelf as a small seasonal accent
- A Mother’s Day gift for someone who decorates for the season
A considered gift for a friend who marks the changing seasons, a mother or grandmother, or anyone whose front door is part of how their home greets people — Mother’s Day, Easter, or simply because.
Dust with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Bring indoors in heavy rain.
