A handmade ceramic fridge magnet set — one green butterfly, an oak leaf, and three small flowers — built from white clay in our workshop in Scotland.
The making: Each piece is hand-built from white clay, cut and smoothed individually, then kiln-fired at 950°C. The pieces are painted with underglaze (greens, yellows, oranges) and finished with a transparent glaze. Strong ceramic magnets on the back hold them onto a fridge or any magnetic surface.
How it looks: The butterfly’s wings are painted in greens with yellow accents; the oak leaf is a deeper autumn green moving to gold at the edges. The three small flowers add small bursts of orange and white. Together the set leans into the green-to-gold transition of late summer into early autumn.
Use it for:
- On the fridge — late-summer or early-autumn arrangement
- Grouped on an A5 magnetic board as wall art
- On a noticeboard with photos or recipes
- Gifted to a butterfly lover, gardener, or someone moving into a new home
- In a kitchen window where natural light catches the glaze
A small handmade gift for someone who notices the seasons turning — birthdays, housewarmings, or simply because.
Pair with an A5 magnetic board (sold separately) to display the pieces as wall art rather than on the fridge — they read as a composition either way.
Sizes:
- Butterfly: approximately 7 × 7 cm
- Oak leaf: 7.5 cm
- Small flowers: 1–3 cm
