Cobalt Butterfly & Dragonfly Magnet Set

A handmade ceramic fridge magnet set of 13 pieces — one cobalt blue butterfly, one turquoise-and-cobalt dragonfly, one cobalt-and-white cloud, plus small flowers and hearts — built from white clay in our workshop in Scotland.

The making: Each piece is hand-built from white clay, cut and smoothed individually, then kiln-fired at 950°C. Pieces are painted with underglaze in cobalt blue, turquoise, pink, white and orange, and finished with a transparent glaze. Strong ceramic magnets on the back hold them onto a fridge or any magnetic surface.

How it looks: Deep cobalt blue is the dominant colour — on the butterfly’s wings, the dragonfly, and a small dreamy cloud at the centre of the composition. Small flowers in pink, white, blue and orange fill in around them. Small hearts complete the set. Thirteen pieces in total — the largest set we make.
