This large, one-of-a-kind ceramic serving bowl is handbuilt using the slab technique from rustic terracotta clay, creating a generous, slightly organic shape that feels both grounded and elegant.
The interior is finished with a soft ivory slip beneath a transparent glaze, creating a gently brushed background full of quiet movement and warmth. At the centre sits a hand-etched Scandinavian folk bird in soft mint blue and layered greens, detailed with black sgraffito linework. Delicate botanical branches frame the bird, giving the bowl a calm, storybook character inspired by Nordic folk art.
The rim is subtly darkened for depth, while the exterior is glazed in a soft blue-green tone that beautifully complements the interior illustration. The base is finished with transparent glaze to create a rich earthy colour and carries the Fabode maker’s stamp — a mark of authenticity and handmade craftsmanship.
This is functional tableware, but also a statement piece.
