A set of six mini ceramic heart magnets in soft pastels — baby blue, pastel yellow, pastel green, pastel pink, white and forget-me-not blue — hand-built in our Scottish studio.
The making: Each heart is cut by hand from terracotta clay, then painted with underglaze paint to set the six different pastel colours. After the first firing, a clear glaze is brushed over the top so the colours brighten and seal. Fired again at high temperature for durability. A thin but strong magnet is glued to the back of each piece.
How it looks: Six small hearts at roughly 2.5 cm × 2 cm, sitting together like a child’s painted pencil case in soft pastels. The forget-me-not blue is the standout against the chalk-white and pale-yellow. Glossy clear-glaze finish with the warm terracotta clay just visible at the edges where the glaze thins.
