Bumble Bee Felted Soap Bar (Mother’s Day)

A handmade felted soap bar in yellow and black bumblebee stripes, hand-felted around a Dove beauty cream bar by Fabode’s mother in Scotland.

The making: A commercial Dove beauty cream bar is wrapped and wet-felted in natural wool, then the surface is needle-felted into yellow and black stripes so the finished soap reads as a small, rounded bumblebee. The wool felt becomes part of the soap — it dries between uses, lathers through, and slowly wears down as the soap underneath is used. The Dove core inside is dermatologically tested.

How it looks: A small bee-shaped felted soap in soft yellow and black stripes — part bath product, part decoration in its own right before it’s first used.
