A handmade ceramic leaf-shaped dish in autumn green tones, made from grey clay in our Scottish workshop.
The making: Hand-built from smooth grey stoneware clay, shaped into a leaf with raised edges so it can hold a bar of soap or a small heap of jewellery. A light green glaze is brushed across the surface with darker green patches pooling in the textured veins, then it’s kiln-fired. The back is finished in a single greyish-green so it sits cleanly on any surface.
How it looks: A flat leaf form with soft, irregular edges. The green glaze shifts between a chalky moss tone and a deeper bottle-green where it pools — reading as the green-into-gold colour of an early autumn leaf still on the tree.
Use it for:
- Holding a bar of soap by the kitchen or bathroom sink
- As a bedside catch-all for rings, earrings and watch
- Resting a wooden spoon beside the hob during cooking
- Holding incense cones or a small candle on a shelf
- Gifted to someone moving into their first home with proper bathroom storage
A considered gift for someone who collects small handmade pieces — housewarmings, birthdays, or simply because.
Care: Hand wash with mild soap; avoid soaking or dishwasher.
Size:
- 14 cm × 12 cm
- Handmade — small variations are part of the character
