A small handmade ceramic soap dish in glossy white, with heart-shaped drainage holes cut into the base — a quiet bathroom piece with a single tender detail. Made in our Scottish studio.
The making: Slab-built from smooth grey clay, then bisque-fired. The drainage holes are cut by hand into the base in a small heart pattern before firing. A glossy white glaze is applied inside and out, and the dish is fired again so the glaze settles into a clean reflective finish that doesn’t show waterlines.
How it looks: Bright glossy white that reads almost like enamel against bathroom tile, with the heart-shaped holes punched into the base catching the light. The shape is a calm shallow rectangle — the heart detail is the only flourish, which keeps it from feeling fussy.
Use it for:
- Beside a basin or kitchen sink to keep a bar of soap dry
- On a bathroom shelf with a calm white-and-stone palette
- A small housewarming gift paired with a beautiful bar of handmade soap
- A Mother’s Day or wedding-shower present
- A guest-bathroom upgrade for hosts who notice these things
A considered gift for a soap-bar household, a Mother’s Day recipient, or a friend setting up their first proper bathroom — Mother’s Day, housewarmings, or simply because.
Care: Hand wash recommended — avoid soaking or dishwasher.
Size:
- Dimensions available on request
- Handmade — small variations are part of the character
