A handmade ceramic triceratops hanging ornament, made from white earthenware clay by our maker in Scotland.
The making: Hand-cut from white earthenware clay in the silhouette of a triceratops, then hand-painted with coloured underglaze, covered with a transparent glaze on the front face and kiln-fired. The back is left matt and painted in a single solid colour rather than glazed glossy, so the ornament reads cleanly from the front. A hanging cord is attached at the top.
How it looks: A flat 13 cm-long dinosaur silhouette painted on the front under glossy clear glaze, with a matt single-colour back. Because each is painted by hand, the exact colour placement varies between pieces.
