A handmade ceramic six-piece fridge magnet set — a brown bird, three small love hearts in brown, beige and white, and two white flowers (a daisy and a margaret) — made in our Scottish studio.
The making: Each piece is hand-built from white earthenware clay, painted with underglaze, and sealed with a transparent glaze before kiln-firing. A small magnet is glued to the back of each. The optional magnetic board is a black-painted metal sheet finished with a durable lacquer.
How it looks: The bird is a warm cocoa-brown with simple painted details and a tiny eye; the three small hearts move from chocolate-brown through soft beige to white; the two white flowers sit at different scales — a small two-cm daisy and a larger six-cm margaret — reading like a hedgerow in late autumn. Glossy clear glaze, slight pooling where the underglaze is thicker.
Use it for:
