A pair of handmade ceramic fridge magnets — a long-necked baby giraffe and a small painted cloud, both finished in cobalt blue — made in our Scottish studio.
The making: The giraffe is hand-built from white clay, with its long neck and small legs shaped carefully so it sits flat against a magnetic surface; the cloud is cut from the same clay. Both are hand-painted with cobalt-blue underglaze, sealed with a transparent glaze, and kiln-fired. Small strong magnets are glued to the back.
How it looks: A deep cobalt-blue giraffe with hand-painted spots, paired with a softer cloud in the same blue — a quiet, slightly storybook pairing rather than primary-colour kids’ decor. Glossy finish that catches the light.
