A handmade set of eleven ceramic fish fridge magnets — two larger fish and nine smaller ones in orange, light blue and cobalt — made in our Scottish studio.
The making: Each fish is hand-built from white clay, individually painted with underglaze, and sealed with a transparent glaze before being kiln-fired. A small magnet is glued to the back of each piece. Because every fish is cut and painted by hand, no two scales or fin patterns are identical across the eleven.
How it looks: The shoal moves between bright orange, soft light blue and deep cobalt, with hand-painted scales, eyes and fin lines on each fish. The glaze finish is glossy and catches the light like wet pebbles.
Use it for:
- Arranging as a swimming shoal across the fridge door
- Bathroom or coastal-themed shelf displays on a small metal board
- A gift for a fish-keeper, sea-swimmer or angler
- A child’s bedroom magnet board (large enough not to be swallowed but check with very young children)
- A coastal-cottage housewarming present
