A handmade ceramic heart garland in glossy firebrick red — nine small heart-shaped ornaments strung on jute, made from grey clay in our Scottish workshop.
The making: Each heart is cut from rolled grey clay, smoothed by hand, and fitted with a small metal hanger before firing. A deep firebrick-red glaze (glossier than our satin matte version) is brushed across each piece and fired again. The nine hearts are then threaded along a single length of jute yarn, evenly spaced.
How it looks: Nine small hearts in a deep, almost wine-coloured red with a glossy finish that catches the light — brighter and richer than the matte version. The grey clay shows quietly at the edges. Natural honey-jute carries the line.
Use it for:
- Hung along a mantelpiece for Valentine’s, winter, or year-round
- Strung across a Christmas tree as a rich-red alternative to baubles
- Tied across the front of a kitchen dresser or shelf
- Draped above a bedhead for a soft romantic touch
- Gifted as a Valentine’s, anniversary or first-home present
A considered gift for a partner, a long friendship, or a wedding morning where you want one warm note of glossy red — Valentine’s, anniversaries, or simply because.
Care: Wipe hearts gently with a dry cloth; keep jute dry.
Size:
- Overall length: approximately 1.5 m (heart to heart)
- Each heart: 4 × 4 cm
- 9 hearts total on jute string
- Handmade — small variations are part of the character
