A single handmade ceramic red poppy fridge magnet, made in our Scottish studio — a small piece of remembrance you can carry from kitchen drawer to fridge door each November.
The making: Hand-cut from white clay, hand-painted with underglaze to capture the layered reds of a real poppy petal, then sealed with a clear transparent glaze and kiln-fired. A small magnet is fixed to the back. Because each one is painted by hand, no two poppies are quite the same.
How it looks: Deep scarlet red on the petals shading to a darker blackish centre, with crisp white-clay edges showing where the glaze meets the body. Glossy finish that catches the light like a fresh-cut flower.
Use it for:
- A small Remembrance gesture on the fridge or office noticeboard each November
- Marking a poppy-appeal donation card on a kitchen pinboard
- A small gift for a veteran, a service family or a parent of a serving forces member
- A year-round symbol of remembrance on a hallway mirror or filing cabinet
- Quietly displayed in a study or reading-room space
A considered, quietly meaningful gift for someone who marks Remembrance Day, supports the poppy appeal, or has a forces connection — or simply because.
Care: Wipe with a dry cloth. Do not submerge.
Size:
- 7.5 x 7.5 cm
- Handmade — small variations are part of the character
