A small painted-black magnetic display board, made by hand to pair with our ceramic fridge magnets — from our workshop in Scotland.
The making: Cut from a sheet of metal, edges softened by hand for safety. Finished with black paint, then sealed with a clear varnish so the board can be wiped clean. Two small holes are drilled near the top so the board can be hung from cord or ribbon.
How it looks: A flat 12 × 12 cm square in deep matte-black, glossy where the varnish sits over the paint. Because each board is made by hand, small imperfections in the surface are part of the finish. The two top holes are small and discreet.
Use it for:
- Mounted on a wall to display a set of ceramic magnets as art
- Hung in a hallway or stairwell as a rotating seasonal magnetic display
- Grouped (two or three boards together) for a larger wall arrangement
- Used flat on a sideboard or shelf as a free-standing magnet base
- Gifted alongside one of our ceramic magnet sets as a complete pairing
